The CT2v2
Manual lever espresso machine
The lever espresso machine in its purest form. With centerpiece industrial design and silent operation, the Strietman CT2 celebrates its simplicity, trusting the user with full manual control of every extraction. Every aspect of the brewing process is manually controlled, every detail is precision-made.
The CT2 is the perfect entry point for learning about espresso. The lever method gives you complete control of the extraction process, which makes it very responsive and forgiving for users of all levels.
Features
The CT2 lever espresso machine embodies precision and reliability for those who value manual control and refined craftsmanship. Manufactured in the Netherlands, the main metal components are CNC-machined from high-grade materials to exacting standards, ensuring smooth operation and enduring performance.
At its core, the CT2 features a solid brass boiler lined with food-grade stainless steel 316, offering optimal thermal stability and resistance to corrosion. The lead-free brass piston and the FDA-approved EPDM and silicone seals custom made for Strietman ensure a pure brewing environment, free from plastics or PTFE.
The CT2 is responsive across a range of roast styles, from delicate, floral light roasts to richer, more syrupy extractions. Its lever mechanism lets you explore pressure and flow with intent, drawing out nuance, clarity, and body from each coffee. It invites a slower rhythm, one that brings attention to both process and taste.
The 350cc open boiler and saturated brew group provide intuitive control over each extraction, accommodating a range of roast profiles. With a heat-up time of just 8 minutes and a responsive temperature dial, the CT2 seamlessly integrates into daily rituals. Its open design facilitates straightforward cleaning and maintenance.
What’s Included
The CT2v2 includes everything needed to begin brewing and to maintain the machine over time. The machine is available in 115V or 230V and ships with the appropriate power plug based on your region: Type F (EU), Type B (US), as well as Australian, Swiss and UK plugs.
Accompanying the machine is a naked brass portafilter with wooden handles, in your selected wood type, along with a matching standard tamper. Four IMS precision baskets (14 g and 17 g) and one IMS Competition superfine-mesh basket (14 g) are included, offering room to explore different dosing styles.
A stainless steel lid, a brass quick-connect lever pin, and a replacement white EPDM seal are provided to support long-term care and smooth daily use. For ongoing maintenance, two small jars of Dow Corning compound are included: Molykote 111 for internal seals, and Multilub for preserving the finish of copper, brass, and bronze surfaces. Both polished and unpolished metal surfaces can show light manufacturing marks from machining and forming steps.

Traditional machines rely on electromechanical systems to generate nine bars of pressure for espresso. With the CT2, this pressure is produced entirely by hand. The robust lever action is low maintenance by design, and allows dynamic microadjustments throughout the brew. As you master your technique, the CT2 encourages you to trust your senses and reconnect with the coffeemaking process.
Minimalism in motion
Set your temperature and wait for the CT2 to warm up. When the lever is depressed, a column of heated water is driven through the ground coffee and into the cup. The 8mm brass group with integrated heater regulates water temperature throughout the extraction, and the naked portafilter reveals the quality of every shot you pull.
Complete control
Coffee is a natural product, producing different flavour notes based on the bean’s origin, roast profile, and age. With its responsive temperature dial and variable pressure control, the CT2 makes it easy to dial in any grade of espresso. Users of every level are rewarded with a richly aromatic brew, with limitless scope for fine-tuning and experimentation.
