When you order a Strietman, we’ll ship it straight to your door. Worldwide.
How much does shipping cost?
The cost of shipping espresso machines and accessories depends on your location. You can see the total shipping cost for your order at the checkout.
Do I need to pay taxes or duties?
European Union (EU)
All EU orders ship as Delivered Duty Paid (DDP). 21% VAT is included in the checkout total for consumer orders. No additional duties or taxes are charged on delivery within the EU.
EU business customers (VAT invoice)
EU business orders require a business invoice. Please contact us before ordering and share:
Company name and address
Valid EU VAT number
After verification, Strietman issues a business invoice without VAT (VAT-exempt / reverse charge, where applicable). The buyer remains responsible for local VAT reporting under applicable rules in the destination country.
United States
US orders ship from Amsterdam as Delivered Duty Paid (DDP). Duties and taxes apply. Before dispatch, Strietman contacts the buyer to arrange an advance payment toward duties and taxes, based on the total order value (typically EUR 600 to 700). After import clearance, any underpayment or overpayment is settled based on the carrier or broker’s final assessment.
Customs clearance requires additional importer details (for example SSN or TIN). The buyer provides requested details directly to the carrier or broker to avoid delays.
Countries outside the EU (excluding the US DDP service above)
Orders ship from Amsterdam as Delivered At Place (DAP). Import duties, taxes, and local fees are set by local authorities. The carrier or customs broker collects these charges prior to delivery or on delivery, based on local rules.
Strietman does not collect or reimburse charges outside the EU.
Estimates and customs delays
Import charges vary per country and shipment. Strietman is not able to provide estimates or tax advice. For accurate information, consult local customs authorities and the selected carrier.
Customs processing times vary. Delays, penalties, storage fees, or extra costs arising from customs procedures fall outside Strietman’s control and remain the buyer’s responsibility.
How will my order be shipped?
We work closely with UPS for all our international shipments. We always ship your items double packed. Espresso machines are packed in foam insulation and then placed securely in a cardboard box. Small accessories are packed in bubble wrap, insulation and then placed in a small cardboard box or envelope.
Is my package insured?
Yes, Strietman insures each package for the transit period. It is ensured right up to the moment when it reaches you.
When will my order arrive?
To reduce emission we ship our parcels once a week, this makes our processing time 2-5 business days. You will be notified via email once your order has been shipped. We always ship from The Netherlands.
The Netherlands 2-4 business days after shipping Belgium & Germany 2-4 business days after shipping. All other countries 5-21 business days after shipping. Please note that deliveries to rural addresses may result in longer delivery times.
When your order leaves our warehouse, you’ll receive an email with a tracking number, you can use this to follow your order’s journey to your door. We work with international shipping partners to get your order to you as soon as possible, but delivery times vary depending on where you order from.
Can I pick up my order in the Strietman workshop?
We do not offer factory pickups. All orders are shipped exclusively with UPS to ensure secure and reliable delivery.
