Strietman IMS Competition Super Fine Mesh Filter Basket

Super Fine mesh basket made by IMS in Italy especially for Strietman. Holds 14 grams of ground coffee. Compatible with all Strietman espresso machines and barista tools.

The addition of a super fine mesh screen eases extraction and is particularly suited for big flat burr grinders which produce little amounts of fines. The level of filtering is normally between 250 μm and 350 μm. The Super Fine filter has a level of filtering of 170 μm. To achieve this IMS combined the benefits of a photo-etched membrane with its own perforation technology. This results in a cleaner espresso that accentuates the acid component of coffee. The Super Fine Mesh screen enables you to grind finer in comparison to regular baskets and increases the body of the shot.

The IMS Super Fine Mesh filter is created out of thin layer of 0.5mm stainless steel which absorbs minimum amounts of heat.

Please note: the Super Fine Mesh Filter is welded onto the basket and will show wrinkles on the edges. This tension is a result of the basket’s flex during extraction. This wrinkling does not effect the function.

Compatible with the Olympia Cremina, pre-2000 Europiccola machines, and the Elektra microcasa.
